He has worked in post-fixture commercial operations and was the fleet manager of over 30 refrigerated cargo ships, before moving into P&I insurance in 1996.Martyn rose to the position of Senior Claims Director before being headhunted by a leading London Law Firm, to be a casualty investigator in 2011. In 2019, Martyn became an independent marine consultant and commercial mediator after accreditation with Civil Mediation Council.
