IFSTS 2016, sponsored by TSAKOS GROUP was successfully completed with a total 104 delegates from 74 organizations from the shipping sector. The forum was hosted at the Clyde & Co premises and was chaired by Mrs Claudene Sharp UK Head of Marine, Noble Denton marine services, DNV GL - Oil & Gas.

Eleven presentations took place during the event. Panel speakers addressed the RISK in STS operations from the perspective of the organization. The most interesting fact was that each speaker contributed with his past experience and best practices extracted.

The overall outcome from the forum is that the RISK of an STS operations is a puzzle and in order to put all pieces together, it is necessary to gather the valuable experience of all individuals, especially from of tanker operators.

This is also the concept of this STS Forum. DYNAMARINe presented some consolidated statistics from STS operations and also the value of disseminating best practices as extracted from the past STS experience of Masters. The feedback obtained from the Masters and other industry stakeholders was also utilised to put together questions and answers for the frequently asked questions guide, The STS FAQ.

The guide went through industry review and the final outcome was presented at the STS Forum. This guide is available in electronic and hard copy format upon request.
