Dear Colleagues,
DYNAMARINe would like to inform you with regard to recent RIGHTSHIP STS Requirements as reflected in latest RISQ3.1 and relevant actions needed from Shipowners.
As you are already aware, RISQ 3.1 will be in place from end September 2024. DYNAMARINe is in a capacity now to support your company with the development of relevant procedures as deemed appropriate, such as compatibility assessment, Location assessment, STS Plans, STS record keeping and Crew Familirisation and Training.
The development of STS procedures do not rest only on the development of the STS plan. The plan is the part that should be reflected in the company SMS, or as a separate document. Apart for the STS Plan manual or SMS procedures, shipowners will need to support STS via barges or transloaders or other bulk carriers through the following processes:
1. Crew Familirisation for the procedures
2. Online Submission of Recordkeeping
3. Online access of Crew STS Experience
4. Access to Location Assessment
5. Vessel Compatibility
6. Crew training
7. Post feedback and assessment by the Master
DYNAMARINe is supporting shipowners with turn-key solutions as a technical expert in STS in tanker and Bulk Carriers. The scope is to ease the work load to shore personnel with efficient prooven solutions.
Being a reliable company in STS with vast knowledge of the subject, we are in the forefront of Ship to Ship preparedness as deemed necessary from ISM as well as Dry-BMS.
DYNAMARINe is also pioneer in the provision of risk related data, accepted by EMSA EQUASIS, USA DoT, OCIMF Members, INTERTANKO members, INTERCARGO, HELMEPA and Major STS Organizations globally.
Although OCIMF STS Guide is an accredited source of information, it is not appropriate to apply procedures in the same manner to bulk carriers due to the different nature of operations and cargo type. Such development of procedures from the OCIMF guide only, will complicate processes for bulk Carriers and will eventually increase the burden and costs from shipowners, either through amendments or new developments. The quality of information and advice received from 3rd parties should be properly evaluated from shipowners prior to any decision.
We thank you for your trust so far. Should you wish any further information, please do not hesitate contacting us at info@dynamarine.com
Kind regards
DYNAMARINe Bulk Carrier Team
