DYNAMARINe Academy Training Course: Maritime Risk Assessment - Incident Investigation & Root cause analysis 25-26 JANUARY, 2022

Course aim and objectives: This course provides participants with the required knowledge for effective management of marine related risks affecting operational safety of vessels as a tool for identifying the necessary steps and controls to eliminate root causes and other factors contributing to marine incidents. Proactive risk assessment process is an essential element for mitigating losses by preventing the occurrence of near misses and incidents and enhancing continual improvement of the safety management system. Course participants will also have the opportunity during this training to go over various methodologies for tracing and identifying the causes during an incident investigation process.

• Scope and principles of the maritime risk assessment process
• Methodologies for proactive management of risks for loss mitigation
• Step by step analysis and practice of the incident investigation process
• Factors contributing to incidents
• Incident investigation process
• Root cause analysis and actions to eliminate causes
• Lessons learnt, proactive and reactive risk assessment
• Immediate, medium and long-term corrective actions
• Practical exercises and final examination

Participation: The course is open to shipping company managers, superintendents, masters and shipboard team members involved in risk management as a tool for incident prevention and continual improvement as well as to the designated team involved in the incident investigation process.

Course duration: 2 days: This training program is provided in 12-hours with real time instruction through zoom platform in two 6-hour pre-scheduled interactive learning sessions.

Fees: Euros 350 per day per participant. Discount of 10% is offered to individual participants registering to this course. Group discounts of 15% can be arranged for companies registering 3+ persons. Upon registration, a link shall be provided to participants for accessing the course
