DYNAMARINe Academy Training Course: Marine Internal Auditor of ISM, ISPS, MLC 13-14 JANUARY, 2022

Course aim and objectives: This course provides the required knowledge for conducting combined ISM, ISPS, MLC management system audits and qualifies participants for compliance with the relevant requirements. The Maritime Labor Convention (ILO-MLC 2006) does not stipulate the requirement for internal audits, however, MLC inspections can be integrated in the company's safety management system and carried out accordingly. Reference is also made to the international standard "ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems"

Course main elements:

• ISM, ISPS, MLC overview and applicable requirements
• Performing harmonized audits of a management system
• Common elements with focus on differences
• Development of harmonized internal audit program
• Audit investigation techniques - Auditor skills
• Planning, conducting, reporting and following up on the audit process
• Determining and handling of a non-conformity
• Practical exercises, case studies and final examination

Participation: The course is open to shipping company safety/quality managers, designated persons ashore, company security officers, superintendents with auditing responsibilities as well as ship-board members involved in the audit process. Prior knowledge of the ISM and ISPS codes as well as ILO-MLC 2006 is required for attending the course.

Course duration: 2 days This training program is provided in 12-hours with real time instruction through zoom platform in two 6-hour pre-scheduled interactive learning session
