DYNAMARINe - onlineSTS.net audited TOP FENDERS Ltd on behalf of onlineSTS.net memberss

On December 2014 DYNAMARINe undertook an audit on TOP FENDERS LTD (TFL) on behalf of onlineSTS.net Members. This is the first time ever that 27 tanker operators, with a fleet over 500 tank vessels, performed a synchronized documentary audit on a Service Provider.

The documentary audit did not require an onsite visit and utilized data provided by the 3rd party itself as well as data available at OSIS. In addition, data being publicly released were also consulted, provided that they derived from credible sources. Thus the credibility of this type of audit is defined by the credibility of the utilized data.

The provided audit report can be included as an audit of the tanker operators at following elements of TMSA, element 1 (Stage 3), elements 1 (Stage 4), 12A (all stages), as an action towards monitoring and improvement of the services provided by the Service Providers in STS operations.

The documentary audit that has been conducted for TOP FENDERS service provider, studied a list of documents that reflect the adopted procedures followed during Ship-to-Ship transfer operations. TOP FENDERS is an organization with a good experience as a Service Provider in the region of West Africa. Currently it has expanded in a new number of different locations in Mediterranean.

DYNAMARINe runs the ISO 9001 accredited service onlineSTS.net since 2011, which focuses on due diligence policy and procedures of STS stakeholders. The auditing of STS Service providers is addressed as a new service, on the basis of OCIMF guidelines and IMO requirements in order to assist the charterer and the users (Tanker Technical Operators) to exercise his due diligence when contracting the STS Service provider.
